Annie Besant’s Maiden name was Annie Wood and she assumed her Husband’s title Besant, and that is how we remember her today. She was born to a middle class family and she lost her father in her childhood, and they had to face a lot of hardship. She was schooled at home. Her philosophy and her thinking was shaped at her Rev Husband’s when she helped her husband’s parishioners needy people.
